Operations and Logistics Notes

Notes From a Recent Planning Session

During the last planning session for a supply corridor in the Neuquén basin, loading times at origin and unloading protocols at destination were reviewed. Two bottlenecks were identified on the main route that require adjustments in convoy frequency. The operations team proposed redistributing departure times to avoid adverse weather windows, a decision that directly affects fleet availability for the next quarter.

A Practical Look at the First Week

The first week of operation on the new stretch of Route 40 yielded concrete data: 14 completed trips, two delays due to road maintenance, and a total of 680 tons mobilized. The satellite tracking system recorded an average speed of 38 km/h on unpaved sections, within the expected range. The field report notes that drivers reported three critical points of tire wear that will be evaluated in the next fleet review.

What Changed After the Initial Review

After the initial review of the transport plan for the copper project in San Juan, two key aspects were modified: convoy frequency changed from daily to every 36 hours to reduce personnel fatigue at altitude, and an intermediate inspection point was added at 2,800 meters above sea level. These changes arose from analyzing first-week reports and actual route conditions. The new schedule is already in effect, and initial results show an improvement in cycle times.

Frequently asked questions about extreme logistics

Direct answers about industrial transport on complex terrain.

What type of machinery do you transport?

Drilling equipment, mining trucks up to 90 tons, wheel loaders, high-power generators, and camp modules. All with specialized trailers and 8x8 trucks.

How far do your routes go?

We operate throughout Argentina, focusing on Patagonia, the Andes mountain range, and the Neuquén basin. We reach areas without paved roads, at over 4,000 meters above sea level, and distances exceeding 120 km from the nearest route.

How do you manage climate and terrain risks?

Each operation includes a prior route study, safety protocols for hazardous materials, real-time satellite tracking, and scheduled technical stops. In the Patagonian winter, we adjust convoys based on the weather forecast.

Do you offer continuous supply service?

Yes. We design weekly logistics routes for critical supplies in shale oil and mining fields. Our compliance rate is 98% for scheduled deliveries, with escorted convoys and tracking on every leg.

What certifications or insurance do you have?

We work with liability insurance policies for high-tonnage loads and comply with the transport regulations of the Secretary of Energy and Mining of Argentina. Each piece of equipment is insured for the declared value of the machinery.

How do I request a quote?

Send an email to info@redcentreadventureride.com with the type of equipment, origin, destination, and estimated schedule. Within 48 hours you will receive a technical proposal with routes, deadlines, and conditions.

Terms and conditions of service

Definitions and scope that apply to all heavy transport operations.

Responsibility for the cargo

Redcentreadventureride assumes custody of the machinery from the signing of the origin waybill until delivery at the destination. Pre-existing damages documented in the joint inspection upon entry are excluded. The client must declare in writing any special condition of fragility or danger at the time of contracting.

Terrain and access conditions

The service is quoted based on the route information provided by the client. If during the operation undeclared roads, clearance restrictions, or slopes greater than 12% are encountered, a logistical deviation surcharge will be applied. It is mandatory to notify any modification to the route 48 hours in advance.

Insurance and coverage

Each transfer includes third-party liability insurance for damages and cargo insurance up to the value declared in the service order. The client may contract additional coverage for high-value equipment. Losses due to unforeseeable force majeure events in the operating area are not covered.

Delivery times and delays

Estimated times are calculated based on normal weather conditions and passable routes. If the client requests unscheduled stops, destination changes en route, or waiting times at origin exceeding 2 hours, additional equipment and personnel time will be billed. Delays due to official road closures are not attributable to the carrier.

Claims procedure

Any discrepancy must be notified in writing within 5 business days after delivery. After this period, the operation is considered accepted in conformity. Claims are resolved through independent expert appraisal appointed by the Argentine Chamber of Freight Transport. The contractual domicile for all notifications is Ruvalcaba 87120.
